Asda festive nappies!

Asda have given their active fit nappies a festive makeover!!

I bought some of these for Miss Iz. She loves running around with no bottoms on, and what better way to get in the spirit than some festive nappies!

Only £5.97 for a pack of 40 nappies! Madam is size 4, so you get 40, other sizes vary as usual in how many you get.

They are also in the 2 packs for £10 deal currently on, so a great deal!

Same great asda quality. Good fit around madams bottom. She slept in one all night and we had no leaks! And for a very active little girl they are staying in place and keeping up with her!

Ok, they're not a necessity, but we all love to add a little Christmas magic where we can. Seeing madams snowflake bum running round is definitely making me smile!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!

Christmas at ASDA !!! You won't be disappointed!

Today I took Miss Iz for a mummy & daughter shopping trip.  1st stop was our local Asda Living store. I do love a good mooch around Asda Living.  I always seem to stumble on some bargain, or exciting find.

Today, I noticed that Christmas had come to Asda!
Now with 2 kids, Christmas has become mega exciting again. So when I see a Christmas section, I'm there!

The selection was above & beyond what I've seen in any other store! There was tons. Plenty for whatever colour, theme, etc. you are going with.

First in my trolley was the crochet angel tree topper.  For years we've had a bog standard star that came in a set of baubles we got before we had the kiddies. I've wanted to 'upgrade' for a while, but never got around to it, or found one I've liked at a price I've liked. When I saw the angel, she was lovely.  Ok, I wasn't massively taken with the flower in her hands, but that would be easily removed. Otherwise I thought she was stunning.  And at only £5!  Who can argue!!

The tree decoration selection was HUGE!! I loved their candy style selection.  This was a tiny bit of it all........

They had lots of lights to chose from, and a great idea by Asda, they came in reusable clip lock tubs.  I've never seen this before, & I know how annoying it can be trying to push a load of lights back in a tiny box & it splitting!!   No more of that!!!

Next I found the nativity scene.  Mstr J has been a bit nativity crazy after playing the donkey in last years school performance. I knew he would love this, and I wasn't wrong!! His face lit up when he came home today & saw it waiting for him! Another bargain at only £12 for the whole set!!

My penultimate choice was a large snowman. I love a bit of Xmas magic. He's bristly & glittery & super cute. He measures about 12 inches high, maybe just under. Just too cute. And only £7!! Love it!!

Last but not least was my reindeer calendar.  I'm not a fan of the chocolate calendars. Each day giving your child chocolate is not something I'm a fan of.  Normally Mstr J has a playmobil one instead, but he's kinda growing out of that now, so I was desperate for something else.  I'd looked at these wooden drawer calendars, but they were all so expensive I couldn't warrant it.  But at only £12, this reindeer was magic!!! I'm thinking of buying a lego set, and giving him a piece or 2 towards building it each day! Much better than chocolate!

Miss Iz and I had a lovely girlie day shopping, and I'm super happy with my purchases. I honestly can't rate them highly enough. My mind was blown with the amount of choices. I could have bought the shop, but I know hubby would go mad! Lol

They had everything you can need, from trees, to wrapping paper, lights, baubles, crackers and much much more!

Get down to Asda now for all your Christmas needs!

Here's a little comparison for you of a couple of items I bought!! Mad what a saving you can make!!!

Aldi - ski wear / thermals

As I do every so often I decided to take a trip to one of my fave shops, Aldi!

Today I found they were stocking a ski wear / thermals range.
Initially I thought, "I don't do skiing, so pointless". Then I thought about it, it gets so cold in this country over the winter, and as a family we love trips out.  Nothing stops us getting out & about, not even the great British winter!
So, I decided something warm, for Mstr J & Miss Iz might be a good idea.

As per usual, I knew Aldi would hit the ball out the park with its pricings, and I wasn't disappointed.

For Mstr J I got a ski wear set.  In this you get a trousers ( that have braces to keep them up, detachable), and a coat.
The trousers have a side zip to fit over boots.
The coat is lovely & thick & warm. It has zip pockets, perfect for the ski pass if you're using it for skiing.
A high neck warm collar. & face fitting hood, to keep them warm & dry.
My favourite part of the coat was the poppered elasticated inner waist band in the coat. This was a great way of stopping any of the wind getting up under the coat & onto your child. I loved this part! I've never seen it before & thought it was a great idea!
Both are waterproof, wind proof & breathable.
Sizes start from 5-6 and go up to 13-14, so a large range.  Sadly Mstr J is a skinny little boy, and even though he is almost 6, is only currently in 3-4 clothes.  I got him the 5-6 in the hope the size would be slightly off, but in fact it was probably true to itself. The trousers were huge on him. I had hope for the coat, but when he tried that on, it was still quite big.  Maybe next winter he'll get to wear them.
As for his opinion, he loved them! He thought his new coat was 'cool', and was gutted when I said it will have to go away for next year.

The fantastic inner waist band....

For Miss Iz, I got a snowsuit.
The suit is lovely & padded & felt very warm.
The hood is elasticated to keep it in place.
There is 2 zips down the front, so easy access.
In ages 3-6 months & 9-12 months the arms have fold over cuffs & feet.  In size 18-24 months you get detachable mittens. I'm a bit confused about what you get with the 12-18 month size. I couldn't see any in store either, so I couldn't check.
Miss Iz like her brother is small for her age.  Fitting in 9-12 clothes at the moment.   I got her a size 9-12 months. This fitted her perfect. So I would say this is true to sizing too. I would have prefered the detachable mittens in this size too. The arms were not long enough to turn the ends over without hurting her hands.
Miss Iz loved putting it on & stomping around the living room in it. She looked like a cute little marshmallow! Lol

Both the things I got come in other colours & for the opposite sex too.

Price wise, Mstr J's set cost £14.99. This is unbelievable value for a coat & trouser set of this quality. Like I said, even if you don't go skiing, they are lovely & warm for the winter.
Miss Iz's snowsuit was £9.99. Again fantastic value.

There's a huge range in store.
Adult helmets £19.99
Boys & girls snowboots £8.99
Adult ski jackets £19.99
Ski socks 2pk £3.99
Pocket hand warmers £2.99
Children's gloves £2.99
Various thermal socks, gloves, tops etc.
To name a mere few!

If you're an outdoors type. Or work outdoors these are great!

As per usual, Aldi smash it again. Great winter items for bargain prices! Get yours, while stocks last!
